I uninstalled a program, but the Add/Remove programs applet still shows the entry for it.So how do I get rid of it??

Answer / Solution:

Open the Registry Editor and navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall.

You can find the entries related to the uninstalled program in the right pane.Just delete them...Thus, your problem will be fixed forever.
